“Invest in Vietnam — Now Is the Time”: Connecting Chinese Businesses with the Next Investment Opportunities in Northern Vietnam
During its latest business trip to Shenzhen, China, NTC participated in the 2026 “Technology & Innovation Cross-Border” Shenzhen–Vietnam Cooperation Exchange, featuring an investment seminar built around a clear message: “Invest in Vietnam — Now Is the Time.”
The seminar provided Chinese entrepreneurs and manufacturers with a practical perspective on the rapidly changing manufacturing landscape in Asia — and why Vietnam is increasingly being considered as a strategic destination for the next stage of international expansion.
Discussions focused on the issues that matter most to companies evaluating Vietnam: global supply-chain restructuring, Northern Vietnam’s industrial clusters, labor availability, logistics, infrastructure and power, industrial land, investment policies, tax incentives and access to international export markets.
Particular attention was given to Hai Phong and Bac Ninh, two of Northern Vietnam’s leading manufacturing hubs. The continued presence of major global manufacturers and an increasingly mature supplier ecosystem demonstrate that the region is no longer simply an emerging manufacturing destination — it has developed into an established industrial platform where new investors can integrate into existing supply chains.
One of the central messages of the seminar was that global supply-chain diversification is not a temporary phenomenon. As companies pursue “China + N” strategies, diversify manufacturing locations and respond to changing global trade requirements, Vietnam is becoming an increasingly important part of Asia’s manufacturing network.
The seminar also moved beyond macro trends to introduce practical investment opportunities for companies actively considering Vietnam. Among these, Nam Trang Cat Industrial Park in Hai Phong offers a new platform for manufacturers seeking large-scale industrial land, modern infrastructure, strong logistics connectivity and a long-term base for expansion in Vietnam.
At the seminar, Mr. Swee Loon (James) Hoo, CEO of NTC, delivered a speech sharing his perspective on Vietnam’s investment opportunities and the growing potential of Northern Vietnam for Chinese companies expanding internationally. He also reaffirmed NTC’s commitment to supporting prospective investors by connecting them with local resources and facilitating their journey toward establishing operations in Vietnam.
Through its engagement in Shenzhen, NTC aims to do more than introduce an industrial park. It seeks to become a reliable bridge between Chinese enterprises and Vietnam’s investment ecosystem, helping prospective investors move from initial market exploration toward location selection, local connections and project implementation.
As a new generation of Chinese companies accelerates its international expansion, Vietnam — and Northern Vietnam in particular — is emerging as one of the most compelling destinations for the next wave of industrial investment.
